Oregon says 2,114 psilocybin clients came from other states
Oregon's psilocybin program says 2,114 clients had traveled from another U.S. state for licensed services as of March 31, 2026. Oregon didn't say when that count starts or give a denominator for it, its data can't show how many came from Nevada, and nothing bought at an Oregon service center may leave it.

What Oregon counted
An August 2026 budget summary from Oregon Psilocybin Services (OPS) says: "As of March 31, 2026, OPS data collection shows: 2,114 clients traveled to Oregon from another U.S. state." It adds that 200 came from another country.1 Another 1,516 came from an Oregon county, 485 chose not to answer, and 139 opted out of having their information shared with the state.1
The summary doesn't say when that count starts, and OHA hasn't published a denominator for it, so we don't give a percentage. OHA says it has collected client data only since January 1, 2025.110 The figure also equals the out-of-state counts in OHA's 2025 year-end summary (1,753) and its January to March 2026 data file (361) added together, but OHA hasn't said that's how it was built.23
What the numbers leave out
- Opt-outs and skipped questions. Clients can opt out of having their data reported and can decline any question.2 Service centers only had to report opt-outs starting in 2026, so the 139 covers January to March 2026 alone.103
- Hidden small counts. Oregon suppresses answers with fewer than 12 responses, so many small Oregon counties aren't published and the in-state count is incomplete.2
- "Other state" isn't one state. The client form's answer reads "Other location within the United States of America, U.S. Territories or the freely associated states" (it then names the Marshall Islands, Palau and Micronesia), with no list of states.5 Oregon's data can't isolate Nevada residents.
The newest quarterly file, unlike the summary, gives its own period and total. From April 1 to June 30, 2026, Oregon served 1,220 clients; 291 opted out of reporting, and 525 gave the other-U.S.-location answer.4 That's 43.0% of all clients served that quarter, or 56.5% of the 929 who didn't opt out, by our calculation from OHA's file. Twenty came from outside the U.S. and 51 didn't answer.4 All of these counts depend on what service centers report.10
Other figures in the same summary
From January 1, 2023 to July 23, 2026, licensed service centers sold 46,273 psilocybin products, with no product safety recalls and 32 reports of emergency services being contacted.1 Of the 5,935 clients served in 2025, licensees reported 7 severe adverse behavioral reactions and 2 severe adverse medical reactions that required transport to a hospital.1 As of July 23, 2026, Oregon had 20 approved service centers and 379 approved facilitators, and more than 33% of service centers had surrendered their licenses or not renewed them.1
What it means if you're in Nevada
Oregon doesn't require clients to live there. A client must be 21 or older and complete a preparation session with a licensed facilitator first, and can only buy and take psilocybin at a licensed service center during an administration session. Products can't be taken off-site.6 The nearest listed centers, in Ashland, are about 724 miles by road from the Strip.7
Nothing from an Oregon session can legally come home. Psilocybin is a Schedule I drug in Nevada, and possessing it is a crime under NRS 453.336.89 Our guide to legal psilocybin nearest Las Vegas compares Oregon with Colorado and New Mexico, and our visitor guide covers the rules in Las Vegas itself.
